Starry Heights was only getting warmed up late when resuming over 1400m and he’s sure to improve here with that run under his belt.
A winner of two from three second up appearances, he looks well placed and the rise in trip will certainly suit.
The Star Turn gelding has yet to taste defeat over the mile, recording five wins from as many outings over the journey.
He’s drawn to get the right run and Pike goes onboard for Grant and Alana Williams.
Fine Touch strips fitter for the two runs back and looks ready to peak third up.
She just felt the pinch late when resuming over 1400m and last time, again over that same trip she was strong late, finishing third beaten just over a length.
Boasting a great record over the mile the Maschino mare will appreciate getting out over that bit further.
She does rise slightly in the weights but drops back in grade and will be afforded every chance from the good gate under Brad Parnham.
Minsk Moment resumed off a long break with a solid effort in the Beaufine Stakes and will relish the rise to 1200m.
Having his first run since returning to the Adam Durrant stable, the I Am Invincible entire worked home nicely to finish just behind the placegetters and he will have taken plenty of improvement from the run.
He’s a class horse on his day and has drawn to get the right run for Clint Johnson–Porter.
