Trackside commentator Mark Rosanowski provides his tips for all 11 races at the Palmerston North Greyhounds meeting on Tuesday 25 June, 2024.
Brilliant winner of the Silver Collar at Manukau in track record time & has since trialled superbly at Addington over 520m. Has been here twice before. Multi-starter.
Selections: 2-4-1-8
Easy winner on debut at Addington running out maiden nominations. Should claim a bonus win.
Selections: 8-7-3-4
Last on debut away at Cambridge in May is best forgotten. Won a 410m trial here earlier this month beating a subsequent winner. Tempting odds in an open field.
Selections: 7-8-2-3
Was unlucky to be checked out of the race when handy last Tuesday & she has downgraded. 7 Big Time Bora was solid third in the fastest sprint of the day last time.
Selections: 4-7-6-5
Slick chaser resuming after seven weeks off. Has high speed so can give them something to chase. 7 Go Tina downgrades off a close fourth. Blowout hope.
Selections: 4-7-3-8
Battled late in the piece at Cambridge when third but it wasn’t a bad effort for his first trip away. Won in this class here the time before. 6 Thrilling Carlos was hampered in the straight when second here a week ago then had no luck at all on Friday. In exotics.
Selections: 1-6-2-8
Smart youngster has won over 390m at Invercargill. Was bumped several times when a hot favourite down there last week. 7 Big Time Muster was a slick maiden winner this course/distance when he was last here. 6 Big Time Aly is a tiny tot that turned in the traps last time. Trialled well enough on this track a week back & has the speed to win with a clean dispatch.
Selections: 3-7-6-4
Fastest dog in this field is a reliable beginner & another performance like last week will be good enough to claim this too.
Selections: 6-5-2-4
No excuses for not winning last Tuesday but it was another tidy effort & he is well overdue. Meets an open line-up.
Selections: 3-1-5-2
Shot around the field mid-race to win easily last week. Can again although the return of 4 Big Time Atlas makes it harder. 2 Big Time Party met interference mid-race when handy so shouldn’t be written off. Quaddie cover.
Selections: 3-4-2-1
Determined late run took her close in the corresponding race seven days ago. 2 Big Time Silky was checked late when she was contesting that finish. Needs to avoid the 1 Big Time Super early. 7 Big Time Bruiser looks suited to this after chasing Blazin’ Master over 457m.
Selections: 3-2-7-1
