We have Makybe Diva Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 1 1600m race at Flemington on Saturday.
Makybe Diva Stakes odds have Sheza Alibi at skinny odds, but Sir Delius could cause an upset.
Sir Delius is not a runner to underrate, and although he comes up against an odds-on favourite in Sheza Alibi, that didn’t deter him when he breezed past Autumn Glow in the autumn.
He’s a dynamic thoroughbred, and he oozes class. He has seven wins from 13 starts, so he’s lightly tried, and he could win multiple Group 1 races this spring, including the Makybe Diva Stakes and the Cox Plate.
We rated him as a $2.80 second favourite, with Sheza Alibi at $2. Therefore, he’s our best bet to win at $4.40. That’s a great price, and he won’t be worried about being fresh-up over 1600m. It’s a suitable starting point, and he’ll be ready to produce the goods.
Take the value odds and put him on top in Makybe Diva Stakes predictions.

It’s not surprising to see the 4YO mare open as a short favourite, but we think her odds will drift on race day.
She is a superstar mare, but she has largely faced her own sex, and she has never had to run past the likes of Sir Delius, so there are some concerns for Saturday’s race, not including the skinny odds.
Her run for second behind Autumn Glow in the Winx Stakes was huge. The race didnt go her way, but she savaged the line, and that’s why she should run in the first two home in the Makybe Diva Stakes.
If she drifted to $2.20, she would be a good play, but at $1.70, she’s only going into our quinella bets.

Autumn Boy only battled to the line in the Memsie Stakes when trying to chase Beiwacht, but that was the case for many runners in that race.
It was tough to make ground from the back, so we’re prepared to give the Group 1 winner another chance, especially at the generous odds.
He is in good hands with Chris Waller, and having Mark Zahra in the saddle doesn’t hurt his chances. He’ll get a soft run in transit from barrier 5, and he was always going to improve with a run under his belt.
Include him in Makybe Diva Stakes tips for value.

Punters get value odds with our Makybe Diva Stakes SRM, which includes our three selected runners.
We have Sir Delius Top 2, Sheza Alibi Top 2, and Autumn Boy Top 4, which pays $8.50 for our three-runner SRM.
Sir Delius and Sheza Alibi should run the quinella. They are the best horses in the race, and we see them drawing clear of the field. Autumn Boy could grind home nicely for a Top 4 spot to boost payouts.
