The UFC heads to Macau in China this weekend for a huge Bantamweight main event between local Song Yadong and Deiveson Figueiredo.
The card is made up of many local Chinese and Asian fighters and there are many opportunities to find some winners.
My thoughts and betting plays can be found below.
At just 28 years of age, Song Yadong is entering the peak of his powers as the number five ranked bantamweight attempts to ascend to the top of the rankings in front of his home crowd.
He entered the UFC almost a decade ago and has just four losses to his resume since then including Sean O’Malley, Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen, all of whom have either been champion or fought for the title.
His opponent in the main event is former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo who has just one win in his last four fights.
After losing the flyweight belt to Brandon Moreno in 2023, Figueiredo moved up to Bantamweight and had immediate success, winning three fights in a row but it has not gone his way in recent times.
At 38, he is entering the twilight of his career, and although he is a very dangerous striker and underrated grappler, I’m finding it tough to tip him against a younger opponent in front of his home crowd.

Another Chinese fighter who is in the prime of his fighting career at 27 is Zhang Mingyang who has had success in the light heavyweight division of the UFC.
He came through the Road To UFC series in 2022 but a significant injury meant he was sidelined for over a year.
Once he did enter the octagon he won three successive fights including a first round TKO victory over Anthony Smith however he then lost to Johnny Walker in August 2025.
Alonzo Menifield is a beast of a human and 10 of his 17 career wins have been by knockout.
On the flip side to that coin is the fact that four of his six career losses have been by knockout including a first round loss to Volkan Oezdemir in November 2025.
Both men will be wanting to make a statement and I’m confident the fight won’t last long.

All of Pavlovich’s first eight fights in the UFC failed to see a second round and he won six of his first seven which set up an interim title fight with Tom Aspinall.
He lost that, as well as his next fight against Alexander Volkov but has won his last two via decision to put him back on track.
Despite his last three fights going the distance, he is a very dangerous striker with a powerful right hand.
Aussie fight fans know Tallison Teixeira well because he has beaten two of our guys in Australia during his three fight UFC career in Justin Tafa and Tai Tuivasa.
His only professional loss came against Derrick Lewis in Nashville last year and at 203cm he can cause a lot of issues for his much shorter opponent if he uses this to his advantage.
Pavlovich has the record against the best in the heavyweight division but the difference in betting between these two is greater than I believe it should be in my opinion and my bet reflects that.
