Saturday metro action returns to Sandown in greater Melbourne this week and nine races are on the program.
The rail will be left in the true position around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Soft (6) range.

Kurakka hit the line behind The Western Front over a mile and a half at Caulfield two back and was last seen replicating that performance behind the same horse. He’s a month between runs but has been kept up to the mark with a trial, and this does look to be a weaker race.

13. Two To Tango (1) 54kgx1324
Wonder Boy hasn’t finished worse than second at his last four trips to the races and hit the line to record a popular victory over a mile at Flemington last weekend. On the quick back up and out to the 1800m, he’ll be running on again late and will be hard to hold out.

Actuality has continued to improve noticeably with each run back this time, and after hitting the line to fill the minors in BM70 company on Mornington Cup Day, she was only denied by an impressive Swift Force stepping up in grade at Caulfield last time out. She gets into this race well under the conditions and with Luke Nolen engaged from a perfect barrier, she might not get a better opportunity to win in Saturday metro company.
15. Actuality (5) 54kg7×732
Bella Verona was an easy winner on debut at Cranbourne last month and took improvement into a near miss over 1440m at Caulfield last time out. That was the run of a horse that looked like she’d be right at home over the mile, and she’s drawn to receive the run of the race this week.
9. Bella Verona (3) 54kg12
He clearly needed his first run back this time when finishing down the order behind Capper Thirtynine at Flemington last month, but Farhh Flung was certainly improved when finishing less than two lengths behind the winner at Caulfield last time out. The mile is his pet trip and from the low draw, he should be able to find a position a little handier to the speed before running on late.
2. Farhh Flung (4) 59kg35×06
King Zephyr was nothing short of outstanding at the beginning of his career and won five of his first six starts. While he hasn’t been quite as dominant at his latest preps, there’s no doubt that he has improved with each run back this time and was only just denied by Big Swinger at Flemington last month, beating home several key fancies. He meets that horse far better off at the weights this week and looks set to peak third up from a spell.
13. King Zephyr (13) 56kg12×62
He’ll Rip dusted off the cobwebs with a credible enough run at Caulfield last month and took improvement into an eye-catching effort when beaten half a length by Quiseen at Bendigo last time out. I like that he’s been kept up to the mark with a trial since that race and with no real standout engaged in this contest, he’s on that can give some cheek at double figures.
