Eight races will be contested at Doomben this Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rail will be out 7m and the track is currently rated a soft 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve had a close look at all events on the card and our thoughts can be found below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tessatori has performed well in all four outings, showing good improvement on each occasion.<\/p>\n

After a very encouraging effort over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast saw her finish second, she was given a let up and returned with an eye catching performance here over 1200m.<\/p>\n

Obliged to race wide in the early part, she kept finding and really powered home over the final 200m to grab second.<\/p>\n

The step up in trip will certainly suit and with any luck from the wide draw she should prove hard to beat.<\/p>\n

Melea Castle has partnered her in three of her four starts, she\u2019ll again do the steering and with her claim the filly gets in beautifully with just 53kgs on her back.<\/p>\n

No Brakes has just had the one start and there a lot to like about his performance.<\/p>\n

Making his debut over 1200 at Ipswich, the son of Lonhro was taken back to last off the outside gate and charged home late down the outside to claim fourth.<\/p>\n

It took him a while to windup but when he levelled ou he really picked up strongly over the final part.<\/p>\n

He will have taken good natural improvement from the experience and the rise to 1350m looks ideal.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Orman stays in the saddle for Tony Gollan and gate eight should see him settle closer in the run.<\/p>\n

Thankful Heart failed to finish off last start but the big drop in class and in distance can see him bounce back.<\/p>\n

Still an entire, the son of Mikki Isle has shown good ability and was only narrowly beaten in Class 5 company three runs back.<\/p>\n

Stepping out over 1200m at Ipswich he took up the running from the outside draw and was only nailed right on the line.<\/p>\n

He then headed to the Sunshine Coast and but was found to have pulled up with slow recovery.<\/p>\n

Sent to the lead last time over the 1350m here he just faded over the final stages.<\/p>\n

He has been successful over his trip and if he can produce his best, he\u2019ll take some beating.<\/p>\n

Resurrected has been placed in six of his nine career starts and looks to have found a winnable race.<\/p>\n

Prepared by Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald, the son of Shalaa comes off a narrow defeat over 1460m at Queanbeyen and the rise in trip here should suit.<\/p>\n

The blinkers go on for the first time in an attempt to sharpen him up and see that he finishes off strongly and from the low draw, he\u2019s set to receive all the favours under premier jockey Jimmy Orman.<\/p>\n

Pickaxe broke through for his maiden victory last start and I think he can go on with it.<\/p>\n

The Pierro gelding was placed in four of his five starts in Melbourne before heading joining the Kendrick yard and at his third Queensland start, he proved too good.<\/p>\n

Despite a wide run he let down strongly over the final part and the way he found the line suggests the rise to 1640 will suit.<\/p>\n

He gets in very well on the weights here with Cody Collis\u2019 claim and barrier three will see him enjoy a cosy run in transit.<\/p>\n

Fernao will make his Queensland debut after three solid placings in NSW.<\/p>\n

The Irish import kicked of his campaign over 1550m at Canterbury where he was doing his best work late and two subsequent starts have seen him working home soundly.<\/p>\n

He presents here at peak fitness and the blinkers go on for the first time.<\/p>\n

Bailey Wheeler will do the steering for the Neasham \/ Archibald team and take 1.5kgs off.<\/p>\n

Californian kicked off for the new stable with an even effort over 1000m and will have taken plenty of benefit from the run.<\/p>\n

Having his first start in over twelve months the Justify gelding settled back at the rear after being crowded at the jump and made steady ground along the inside before tiring late in the heavy going.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s since been given a 900m trial where he was strong through the line and looks ready to go.<\/p>\n

Formally prepared at Rosehill, he kicked off his career in style winning on debut before placing in some solid form races.<\/p>\n

Back to class 1 company, he\u2019ll find this easier than what he\u2019s previously contested and gets Michael Rodd aboard.<\/p>\n

Maid To Fit was solid to the line when coming off a six week let up over 1110m here and she\u2019ll appreciate stepping out over more ground.<\/p>\n

The Kelly Schweida trained mare failed to figure in two runs during the Brisbane Winter Carnival but was racing in terrific form last campaign around the likes of subsequent Group One winner Lady Laguna.<\/p>\n

She does race very well here and whilst her form on soft track form suggests she may not be suited in the conditions, the daughter of Snitzel has won in heavy going.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Orman knows her well and is sure to afford her every chance from the inside draw.<\/p>\n
