With racing at Eagle Farm temporarily on hold, nine races will again be contested at Doomben <\/a>this Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rail will be out 4.5m and the track is currently rated a soft 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our thoughts for all nine events can be found below. <\/p>\n\n\n

No. 3 Coup De Tonnerre<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div> \n <\/div> \n
\n

Coup De Tonnerre comes of a very gutsy last start performance and will look to make it three consecutive wins.<\/p>\n

Over the 2200m at Eagle Farm, the Jack Bruce trained gelding was posted three deep without cover for the first half of the event and still found enough late to get the job done.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s hard fit, he\u2019s got a great record over this trip and with the 3kg claim for Cody Collis, he gets in nicely.<\/p>\n

Climactic returns to the races.<\/p>\n

The son of Yes Yes Yes has only had the one race start and there was lot to like about his run.<\/p>\n

Thrown in the deep end on debut, the colt lined up in the $1m Golden Gift\u00a0and after settling just in behind the leading pair he held his ground to the line to finish fourth.<\/p>\n

The form out of that race has proven to be solid and he should find this easier.<\/p>\n

He comes here of two very encouraging trial wins and gets the advantage for the inside draw.<\/p>\n

Miss Middle Park showed a good return to form when kicking off for the new stable here two weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Formally prepared in Victoria by Ciaron Maher, the mare has shown good ability but just failed fire last preparation.<\/p>\n

When resuming over this track and distance she settled back in the field and worked home strongly over the final part to claim third.<\/p>\n

She will have taken good benefit from the outing and this looks to be her pet trip.<\/p>\n

Angela Jones will do the steering for premier trainer Tony Gollan and the low draw can see her settle within striking distance.<\/p>\n

Doomben Race 4<\/div>\n

Plundering was unlucky not to have won when resuming over 1110m here three weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Held up in the early part of the straight, he charged late once clear but the winner was off and gone.<\/p>\n

It was a solid return from the Shooting To Win gelding who has earned himself a reputation as a non-winner.<\/p>\n

Whilst he has raced consistently throughout his career, he\u2019s only found the winners\u2019 stall on three occasions whilst having finishing in the placings a further thirteen times.<\/p>\n

Two of those victories, however, have been second up and he does race particularly well over 1200m.<\/p>\n

Kyle Wilson-Taylor goes onboard for the newly formed partnership of Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald and with any luck from the awkward gate, he\u2019ll be right there at the finish.<\/p>\n

Super Chilled didn\u2019t have the best of luck at Canterbury two runs back and last start, having her first Queensland outing, she was doing his best work late over the mile here.<\/p>\n

After settling back she came the widest on the turn and let down strongly over the final part to claim fourth.<\/p>\n

Whilst her overall record doesn\u2019t look flash she has performed well in much stronger races and the form around her bodes well for this kind of assignment.<\/p>\n

She does have the wide draw to overcomes but gets the services of Jimmy Orman, who takes the mount for Chris Waller.<\/p>\n

Without Revenge has been racing well and comes off solid last start effort over the mile at the Eagle Farm.<\/p>\n

After working hard early to take up a spot outside the leader he travelled well but just looked a touch flat over the final 100m.<\/p>\n

Staying at the 1630m here at his fourth run back he presents at peak fitness and the three weeks between runs looks ideal.<\/p>\n

Kyle Wilson-Taylor knows him well and will be sure to afford him every chance.<\/p>\n

Brundenell just failed to let down in the heavy conditions when resuming at the Sunshine Coast and he will appreciate getting back on firmer ground.<\/p>\n

The Russian Revolution gelding has put together an enviable record with nine wins from just nineteen starts and he has performed well at the top level.<\/p>\n

Beaten less than two lengths in the Group One Oakleigh Plate in February, he then proved superior in the Listed Bel Esprit Stakes at Caulfield.<\/p>\n

He meets lesser opposition here and does race particularly well second up.<\/p>\n

Andrew Mallyon stays in the saddle and barrier two should see him enjoy the run of the race.<\/p>\n

Ivan\u2019s Hero worked home nicely last start when coming off an eight week let up.<\/p>\n

Over this course and distance, the gelding didn\u2019t have a lot of room in the early part of the straight but under the big weight he just grinding to the line.<\/p>\n

He will have taken good fitness benefit from the run and will appreciate getting back onto a firmer track.<\/p>\n

Chris Waller has elected to claim, securing Bailey Wheeler to do the steering and take 2kgs off which sees him drop 6.5kgs on that last outing and from the inside draw, he\u2019s set to enjoy a cosy run in transit.<\/p>\n

Ef Troop hasn\u2019t been far away in his two most recent runs and will relish getting back to Doomben.<\/p>\n

The Spirit of Boom gelding has a great record here, especially over the 1350m journey and he should find this easier than what he\u2019s been contesting.<\/p>\n

He lined up in stakes races throughout the Brisbane Winter Carnival and last start made the trip to Rockhampton for the $100k Newmarket Handicap, where he was strong to the line after being held up in the early part of the straight.<\/p>\n

Tony Gollan has engaged Emily Lang to take the mount and with her 3kg claim, he gets in very nicely at the weights.<\/p>\n
