Graheme\u00a0Begg\u2019s filly was held up badly approaching the furlong after shifting off the fence, weaving her way back\u00a0along\u00a0the inside to charge through a small gap and win by small margin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fair to say she may have gone several lengths clear if she found some breathing room earlier on, so if she can get across early and\u00a0handle\u00a0the extra weight this time,\u00a0I think her best\u00a0is still yet to come.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Danny O\u2019Brien\u2019s gelding out of Star Turn was beaten\u00a0nearly five\u00a0lengths the run prior\u00a0in\u00a0the Group 3\u00a0Zeditave\u00a0Stakes, form that has since seen the runner-up Devil Night go on to place in last Saturday\u2019s William Reid Stakes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Drawing the inside gate is a big plus now with three runs under his belt and with some wet track\u00a0experience, he\u00a0has to\u00a0be considered one of the leading hopes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Press Statement four-year-old was a clear winner two back at Pakenham over\u00a01400m, before stepping up to tackle the mile for the first time\u00a0nearly a\u00a0month later where he was caught four-wide, eventually finishing a narrow second to Jareth.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rock-hard fit now for three runs back and given less of a turnaround between runs, he should show natural improvement with Craig Williams only carrying 0.5kg extra.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
