It\u2019s one of the best days of racing in Sydney and indeed Australia each and every year, and with so much talent engaged again, we\u2019ll be treated to some outstanding betting races as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella Khadija<\/strong> dusted off the cobwebs with a fair effort when beaten just under three lengths at Randwick when resuming last month but turned in an improved performance to finish on the placegetters\u2019 heels in a Provincial Championship Qualifier at Newcastle last time out. Fitter third-up and in a weaker race, she looks perfectly placed.<\/p>\n

I expected Alalcance<\/strong> to be far sharper in the Randwick City Stakes first up this time and while she clearly needed that run to tune up, she is a horse that tends to improve with a hit-out under her belt. She won this race last year, we know she\u2019ll love getting back out to a mile and a half and at around the $9 mark, we can have something on each way this week.<\/p>\n

She was tough from a forward position and with topweight in the Aspiration Quality over a mile a fortnight ago, but Quietness<\/strong> clearly needed that run. Getting out in trip this week suits, she strips fitter and drops in the weights, and she\u2019s drawn to get her chance again this week under Tommy Berry.<\/p>\n

We haven\u2019t seen Skyhook<\/strong> at the races since November, but he was typically good in strong black type company last time in, winning the Rosebud at this point of his preparation, while ultimately going to the paddock after finishing fifth in the Coolmore<\/a>. He\u2019s trialled up nicely, we know he goes well first up from a spell, and I think he can control the race from a forward position under Timmy Clark.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s a Group 1 winner in her own right, and Aeliana<\/strong> has returned to the races in typically smart form this time, finishing second behind Autumn Glow in both the Apollo Stakes and the Verry Elleegant Stakes<\/a>. That horse would be extremely short in this market were she stepping out, Aeliana is fitting of his place on the top line. In my opinion, there\u2019s one danger and that is Sir Delius<\/strong>. He strips fitter from a credible first up run for third in the Verry Elleegant and will appreciate the rise in trip for the Ranvet Stakes 2026<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

He was outstanding through the recent Spring Carnival, capping his campaign with success in the Victoria Derby<\/a>, and after returning to action with a fine performance to get up again in the Autumn Stakes, Observer<\/strong> added a second Group 1 victory to his CV in the Australian Guineas<\/a>. We know he\u2019ll relish the 2000m in the Rosehill Guineas<\/strong><\/a>, he\u2019s open to further improvement and as long as he handles the Sydney way of going, I think he\u2019ll be winning again.<\/p>\n

Autumn Glow<\/strong> has opened at George Ryder Stakes<\/a> odds<\/strong> of $1.30. She\u2019s unbeaten, she keeps getting better and until she gives me a reason not to be, I\u2019ll be sticking with her. She\u2019s obviously too short for me at that price, so she\u2019s going to be my winner in a Same Race Multi, and I\u2019m going to pump up my odds with Pericles<\/strong> and Evaporate<\/strong> running into the first four. Both horses have returned to action in fine form this time, and in my opinion, they are over the odds at quotes of $15 and $21 respectively, at publish.<\/p>\n
