Jovic made an excellent start breaking the Svitolina serve twice to open the match and take a 3-0 lead. The top seed was able to claw her way back to win the first in a breaker before running away with it in the second set. She has been installed as an overwhelming favourite to win the final and a contributing factor is a dominant 6-2 6-1 win over Wang in their only prior meeting. That clash came almost two years ago at Wimbledon and it is necessary to note that Wang had gone the distance in her first three matches of that tournament. That included a win over Pegula and she simply had nothing left in the tank. Svitolina has looked vulnerable at times on serve in this tournament and I expect them to trade breaks of serve throughout this match. First serve percentage will be one of the keys to the contest as both women have done a phenomenal job of attacking their opponents\u2019 second serve throughout the tournament.
