Speed will be on to bring him into\u00a0<\/span>play<\/span>\u00a0and he can come into his own over the final 800 metres.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

A former pacer in Australia,\u00a0<\/span>he\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0got a bright future in the new gait here and finds a very winnable race for his first run out of maidens. Should be able to work to the lead at some point and not look back\u00a0<\/span>as long as<\/span>\u00a0the big day\u00a0<\/span>doesn\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0get to him.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

Got far too keen in a trial last week but found the line well. Still not 100 per cent in the gait all the time but is getting better and looks a horse who could work to the top grade in the next few months easily enough. Work to do off the handicap here but has the brilliance to overcome it.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

The form\u00a0<\/span>doesn\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0read anything too flashy but break down some of the performances of Wag Star (1) over the past month and\u00a0<\/span>there\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0a lot to like. Sectionally\u00a0<\/span>he\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0been outstanding in many of the Cup lead up races but unable to make too much ground on the best of the best.\u00a0<\/span>Different set<\/span>\u00a0up here, should look to lead and over the 2600m could stack them up and then run them off their feet.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

Has been one of the trotting finds of the season so far has Bounce N Beyond (12) and the effort to finish second to Father Time at Kaikoura was massive. A slight drop back in grade here too and while\u00a0<\/span>there\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0a handicap to contend with,\u00a0<\/span>he\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0going so well that it is hard to not see him as the leading contender.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

One of the hype horses of New Zealand harness racing\u00a0<\/span>at the moment<\/span>, Jumal (3) has it all in front of him.\u00a0<\/span>He\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0won races with ease off good draws, and\u00a0<\/span>he\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0won races he\u00a0<\/span>probably\u00a0<\/span>shouldn\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0have won off bad ones too. Gate speed to use for the handy barrier and\u00a0<\/span>he\u2019ll<\/span>\u00a0look to find the markers and control this and nothing\u00a0<\/span>we\u2019ve<\/span>\u00a0seen so far suggests they are going to be able to beat him.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

Wonderful to have the best horse in Australasia here competing in our greatest race. Sure, it\u00a0<\/span>hasn\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0been the best prep for Leap\u00a0<\/span>To<\/span> Fame (6) but he showed\u00a0<\/span>he\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0right back on track with a brilliant win last time out.
