Well it finally happened, the Roar won a game this season and now they take on an opponent they have already held to a draw once this season.<\/p>\n

However the momentum argument does not really carry over into this match with last weekend\u2019s match against Adelaide postponed due to Suncorp Stadium being double booked with Luke Combs, so they will have 13 days between matches.<\/p>\n

The Wanderers on the other hand could use a confidence boost and will be eager to get some revenge on Brisbane after an ugly ending to that game in December.<\/p>\n

While they have lost their last two, both were at home and their away form has been quite strong of late, winning three and drawing one since the end of November.<\/p>\n

If Brisbane can somehow get something out of this game then maybe it might be time to reconsider your position on the Roar, but until then just keep backing against them.<\/p>\n

The boys are back in business, after a brief blip over the festive season, Auckland\u2019s premiership push has resumed.<\/p>\n

Working in their favour is the fact they keep scoring late goals to pick up points with Logan Rogerson netting a 99th<\/sup> minute equaliser in Adelaide last Wednesday before Neyder Moreno scored a 95th<\/sup> minute winner to knock off Western Sydney on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Macarthur seems to be stuck in a streak of alternating wins and losses, which does not bode well for them after beating Melbourne City last Saturday.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s tough to back against the Black Knights at the moment and it is not a risk I am willing to take.<\/p>\n

Currently stuck in a two game rut, it does not get any easier for Sydney FC this weekend as they take on a surging Adelaide United.<\/p>\n

The Sky Blues followed up their loss to the Roar two weeks ago by getting outclassed by the Victory and their squad has suffered a big blow (that has boosted the club\u2019s bank account) with Hayden Matthews joining Portsmouth.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Adelaide has had a fortnight to stew over a disappointing late goal that cost them two points against Auckland, although it did preserve their unbeaten run.<\/p>\n

Having had last weekend off, don\u2019t be surprised if the Reds are slow out of the blocks but once the second half hits they should be ready to go.<\/p>\n

The coveted piece of highway goes on the line once again in this edition of the F3 Derby, although it has been one of the more one sided rivalries in the A-League over the last few years.<\/p>\n

Adding in the Mariners 2-1 win in Unite Round, the last six encounters have been won by the boys from Gosford and nine of the last ten dating back to the start of the 2021\/22 season.<\/p>\n

The recent form in the lead up to this match also helps build the case for the Mariners to win this fixture, with two wins and two draws from their last five.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Newcastle has won once in its last six and just does not look like a team that is trending in the right direction.<\/p>\n

On the plus side we should see a few goals in this fixture with over 3.5 goals hitting in four of Newcastle\u2019s last five and three of the Mariners\u2019 last four so for a bit of value don\u2019t be afraid to take the over.<\/p>\n

If you are just reading the form lines heading into this game, you might not think that there is a lot between these two clubs.<\/p>\n

After all, they both have one win from five since the new year, but not all dropped points are created equal.<\/p>\n

Last weekend saw the Victory put together their best performance in a long time, systematically destroying the Sky Blues and it looks like they might finally be back on track.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Perth is definitely improving, but last weekend\u2019s draw in Newcastle showed that while they have made progress, there is still a long way to go.<\/p>\n

However the market has a lot of similar sentiments when it comes to pricing it up and finding some value is quite tough.<\/p>\n

One thing you can back with some confidence is the over, which has been a steady play for both clubs, especially the Victory.<\/p>\n
