Q.What sports can I watch?

A.Through the Multi page, you can only watch NBA (Basketball). Through the Watch&Bet Sports section you can continue to watch live streaming and see some data visualisations for a variety of sport for example Football, Ice Hockey, Cricket and Tennis. Eventually all of the Sports will be streamed within the Multi area.

Q.Why can’t I have a video player to any size that I want?

A.With Sports streaming, we are legally restricted to offer a player size that is of a set dimension, therefore to meet this contractual obligation, the player is limited to a small or large size.

Q.What affect will TAB Live streaming have on my broadband allowance?

A.TAB Live Streaming can be viewed in either high or low quality. Here’s the approximate usage by each stream. Low – 280Kbps which equates to 126MB/hour High – 500Kbps which equates to 225MB/hour As an example 5GB would allow you to watch close to 40 hours of video on low quality or 22 hours of high quality video each month.

Q.Why is TAB Live Streaming running slowly?

A.If the site seems slow ensure that you have a broadband internet connection opposed to dial-up. If other websites are also loading slowly for you then you’ll need to contact your broadband service provider. If it’s just TAB LIve Streaming that is slow, please contact TAB Customer Services on 0800 102 106.

Q.I’m using Watch&Bet Sport to play a stream but there is no stream only a visual image

A.Some sports do not have live video streams available but they do have what is called data visualisation. This provides you with statistical information, scores, penalty updates etc throughout the duration of the game.

Q.Why am I still having problems with TAB Live Streaming?

A.Occasionally you may encounter issues, such as live video pausing which can be corrected by refreshing your browser. If you’re still encountering problems with loading TAB LIve Streaming it may be that you have a Firewall which is preventing you access. You will need to contact your Internet security provider.

Q.Why are the quality of the Watch&Bet Sports streams different to the quality of the NBA streams in the Multi page?

A.NBA streams will always be of a lower quality as this is a stipulation the NBA contract, as it cannot be of high definition or a better quality that what is televised.

Q.Do I need to have a TAB Account?

A.Yes. TAB Live Streaming is provided exclusively to customers with an active TAB Account that has a positive balance and be located in New Zealand to stream sports on There are a series of verification and authentication checks completed before we can allow the stream to play. If one of these checks are not completed, then you’ll be presented with a relevant message.

Q.Why have you removed the login and funding ability from within the Multi page video player?

A.Watch&Bet Sport was the first online video streaming service we offered and it’s about 6 years old now. The NBA project has enabled us to modernise the service and simplify what the player does, such as just playing a video, displaying data visualisations or relevant messages. You can easily login and fund using the login section at the top right hand corner of the site.

Q.What is the maximum delay of the video stream compared to real time in the stadium?

A.You can expect between 5-6 seconds of delay compared to real time depending on connection.

Q.Why is there no video?

A.It could be one of a few things. Games that are screening on ESPN are not provided on our streaming service. We could also be experiencing a technical difficulty or your internet connection is not fast enough to stream both the audio and video at the same time. If it is a technical issue that is known to us you should receive an error message otherwise you will need to contact your broadband service provider.

Q.Why is there no audio?

A.Check if you have a sound card on your computer and that the volume turned up. If you do and it is still not working you may need to reinstall Flash player.

Q.Do I need to update my browser?

A.Yes. It always helps to have the latest browser installed on your computer, which is a free and easy process. While there are several browsers available, in order to achieve the best viewing experience, we recommend the latest version of Google Chrome. Alternatively the newest versions of Firefox, Microsoft edge or Safari will be sufficient. This service is not optimised for older browsers.

Q.Can I use this service on my mobile phone?

A.Yes. TAB Live streaming is available on mobile technology via only. NB: the layout of our site is not been optimised for use on a mobile device.

Q.Can I make the TAB Live Streaming screen any bigger?

A.Yes. The player can be moved and increased in size (but can not be larger than 25% of the customer's device resolution.
