Trackside Digital Information
From May 2011 Trackside will be moving off the current free-to-air analogue/UHF service and will become a free-to-air digital service.
Digital looks better, sounds better and provides more channels to choose from. Plus the whole of New Zealand will be making the move to digital TV in the next couple of years.
So if you are a free-to-air Trackside viewer, now is a good time to upgrade to digital.

Trackside in Widescreen
How to get the best from Trackside in Widescreen
In December, Trackside joined other mainstream broadcasters such as TVNZ and TV3 in offering a widescreen (16:9) service.
To watch Trackside in widescreen you may need to adjust some of the settings on your SKY decoder. See instructions below on how to do this.
Please note there will be no change to Trackside on the Free to Air UHF service as this will remain a standard (4:3) broadcast.

Watching Trackside on a Widescreen TV via SKY Digital.
1. Using the SKY remote, press the enter button (the oval one with a circle printed on it).
2. Using the left & right arrows scroll across to the Set Up icon (Spanner)
3. Select Advance Set Up, press the enter button.
4. At the Advance Set up screen, enter your pin (default pin is 0000), press the enter button.
5. Select TV Set up, press the enter button.
6. Press the up or down arrow until 16:9 Wide-screen is highlighted, press the enter button.
7. The decoder will go back to the Advanced Setup screen.
8. Press the TV button on your SKY remote to return to normal SKY viewing.

Watching Trackside on a Widescreen TV via MySKY.
1. Using the MySKY remote, press the Setup button.
2. Select System Setup, press the enter button.
3. Select System Settings, press the enter button.
4. Select Picture Settings, press the enter button.
5. Select Aspect Ratio Control, using the left arrow select STB.
6. Select TV Type, using the left arrow select 16:9.
7. Select Save all settings and press the enter button
8. Press the SKY button and the remote to return to normal SKY viewing.
