Place
The runner to finish first, second or third. However, for there to be three Place dividends, a race needs to have eight or more runners. If there are five, six or seven runners there will be two Place dividends. If there are four or fewer runners the Place Betting Pool will be abandoned. See Dividend Bearing Pacings.
