Dividend Bearing Placings

For any particular race this is the number of placings that a Place dividend will be paid. Dividend Bearing Placings may be three, two or zero depending on the number of runners in the race at official scratching deadline.

Divident Bearing Placings will be;
   Three if there were 8 or more runners
   Two if there were 5,6, or 7 runners
   Zero if there were 4 or fewer runners.

Any Late Scratchings will NOT alter the number of Dividend Bearing Placings except if they reduce the number of runners to 4 or fewer, which will cause the place pool to be abandoned and all bets refunded.
