Deductions
What happens if there is scratching in a race after I have taken a Final Field bet?
- If your runner is scratched you will get a full refund.
- If another runner is scratched your bet may be subject to a Deduction. If the scratched runner was paying under $35 your runner will be subject to a Deduction. If the scratched runner was paying $36, or over, then no Deduction will occur.
The deduction formula:
% of deduction:
80
odds of scratched runner at the time of scratching.
- If the scratching was made prior to your bet, then there is no deduction to your dividend.
Example: Sam places $10 on Bonecrusher at the Fixed Odds (Final Field) price of $10. However later that day Makybe Diva is scratched of the same race. At the time of scratching Makybe Diva was paying $4.00. Bonecrusher wins the race and Sam collects $80 ($100 less 20%).
What is the difference between Fixed Odds (Final Field) and Fixed Odds (Futures Win)?
A Fixed Odds (Final Field) bet is only available after the field is declared. A Fixed Odds (Futures Win) bet is based on nominations for a future feature race. This bet type in ‘All-In’ and, as such, you do not receive a refund for a scratching or withdrawl.
