Q.How soon do the dividends get paid?

A.As soon as the confirmed outcome of the event is known your dividends will be credited to your betting account or if you have paid in cash, the dividend will be available to be collected in cash at a TAB or on-course.

Q.What time can I use my TAB Account (on the Internet)?

A.Fixed odds betting is available from 8.30am to midnight, with extended opening hours from time to time to cover live sporting events. Opening hours are displayed on our website.

Q.What is the minimum amount I can bet?

A.The minimum ticket value for all Fixed Odds bets, regardless of how they are placed, is $5.00.
The minimum bet value using Phonebet is $5.00. However if you place a bet via Phonebet between 10.00am and 11.00am, the minimum bet value is $2.00. If you are an account holder with a disability that prevents you from using other betting channels, you may apply to place a lower bet value through Phonebet - please contact Helpdesk on 0800 102 106.
For racing, sports Pools and Pick the Score the minimum is $1.00 using TAB online and at TAB Retail outlets. The minimum bet using Touch Tone is $2.00 ($5.00 for Sports and Fixed Odds bets).

Q.Is it real time?

A.Yes, all wagering transactions happen in real time and all investments are combined with existing TAB betting pools. Betting is available right up to the start time for each event and for some sporting events, live betting may be available.

Q.Can I bet from the USA?

A.No. It is always up to the customer to ensure that they comply with the laws of their country in relation to betting.

Q.What bet types are available?

A.. Win, Place, Quinella, Trifecta, First Four, Double, Treble, Quaddie, All Up, Poker, Pick6, Six Pack, Pick the Score, Rugby/Rugby League and Football Pools and Fixed Odds betting.

Q.What should I do if I lose a ticket?

A.If you lose a ticket, you'll need to complete a Lost Ticket Claim Form at a TAB store. This will then be sent to NZ Racing Board Head Office where an investigation will be undertaken. Depending on the outcome of this investigation, a voucher may be sent out for the winning amount, or the money deposited into your TAB Account. Lost ticket claims may take up to 3 weeks to process.
