What?
If you've ever had a Win bet then you may be tempted into the Quaddie given it simply requires you to select four winners from the four nominated races. And the rewards, for a small outlay, can be big!
When?
Gallops: On a Gallops meeting, Quaddies always start on the fourth to last race of the meeting.
Harness: On a Harness meeting, Quaddies start on Race 4, unless there is a Pick6. If there is a Pick6 the Quaddie will begin on the fourth to last race of the meeting.
Greyhounds: On a Greyhound meeting, Quaddies start on Race 5. If there is a Pick6 the Quaddie will begin on the fourth to last race of the meeting
Where?
Quaddies are available on every domestic meeting as well as most Australian meetings. Quaddie betting is available through any of our TAB betting channels; here on tab.co.nz, as well as TAB Mobile, TAB Stores, on-course, Phonebet and Touch Tone.
How?
Placing a Quaddie online at tab.co.nz is easy. Simply follow these steps:
Locating a Quaddie:
[1] Navigate through the left hand menu in the Racing section to locate the meeting that you would like to place your Quaddie bet on.
[2] Click on that Meeting to expand the Meeting details.
[3] click on the QAD link.

Placing your Quaddie bet:
[4] Select the runners you want in each Leg or select 'Easybet'
[5] Choose your bet amount, for Percentage bets click the % box and enter the total amount of the bet, otherwise choose the unit value (min 50 cents).
[6] When you have completed your selections, click on 'Submit bet.
[7] When you see the confirm screen, check your runners and the amount and enter your PIN number and click on 'Confirm Bet'.
How much is a Quaddie?
The minimum investment for a Quaddie is $1.
To calculate the amount you need to spend to receive 100% of the dividend, simply multiply the number of selections in each leg together. For example, should you wish to have two selections in each leg of your Quaddie and receive 100% of the dividend, you will need to spend $16 (i.e 2 x 2 x 2 x2).
Percentage and Easybet Quaddie betting is also available
Percentage Quaddie is where you tell us how much you want to spend and which runners you want. If your bet comes in you get a percentage (%) of the dividend.
Joker - If you mark the Joker, our TAB computer will select a runner for you. In any leg, you can mark just one Joker or a mixture of the Jokers alongside your own selections.
Quaddie Easybet - tell us how much you want to spend and our computer selects your runners in each leg for you.

Dividends
The Quaddie dividend is calculated by dividing the amount in the dividend pool by investment on the successful winning combination.
Where any leg of a Quaddie is abandoned or declared a no-race, all selections in that leg, including scratched selections, will be treated as winners and the Quaddie will be divided on that basis. If one leg of the Quaddie is run and the other legs are abandoned, a dividend will be declared.
Where all legs of the Quaddie are abandoned, all Quaddie investments will be refunded.
Substitutes and Scratchings
Where a Race Entrant is Scratched from any of the four Races of a Quaddie, the TAB will substitute an alternative selection for that Entrant after the closing time for receipt of Quaddie bets.
Abandonments
Where any Race in a Quaddie is abandoned, all Selections on that Race shall be deemed to be winners and the Dividend Pool will be divided on that basis.
Where all Races of a Quaddie are abandoned:
- all units of Quaddie betting will be refunded; and
- any amount brought forward from any previous Quaddie shall be carried forward to the Quaddie Pool on the Succeeding Quaddie Race.
